OVENS EMPLOYING COMBINATION ELECTRONIC RANGE CONTROL

(ERC) AND RELAY BOARD

MODEL(S): ART6511**, ARG7800**, AOES2730**, ARTS6650**, ARTSC8650**

The ERC is capable of detecting certain failures within the control, temperature sensor and door latch.

NOTE:

Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for detailed service instructions

Door latched, failed latch switch, or short in wiring ............ Ensure door is not latched, check latch

switch connections and ohm wiring.

If ok, replace latch switch.

DOOR

cleaning

Door latch open, failed latch switch, open wire in circuit.... Ensure door is latched, check latch

switch connections and ohm wiring.

If ok, replace latch switch.

LOCK

displayed

when NOT

cleaning

Failed latch switch or shorted wire lead ............................. Check latch switch connections and

ohm wiring.

If ok, replace latch switch.

F1 Shorted or sticking key (button)/failed mylar touch pad ..... Check glass alignment, key (button)

movement/continuity of mylar pads.

F2 Oven cavity over temperature ............................................ Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F3 Open sensor or sensor circuit ............................................ Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F4 Shorted sensor or sensor circuit ........................................ Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F5 Failed component in ERC system...................................... Check all components and wiring.

If ok, replace control.

F6 Failed component in ERC system or fluctuation in 60Hz

power source......................................................................

Check power source before replacing

F7 Shorted or sticking key (button), door lock switch failure

with door locked .................................................................

Check glass alignment, key (button)

movement. Check switch connections

and wiring. If ok, replace switch.
